Well, here's number 52, just in time for Memorial Day weekend. Not a belly laugh, but maybe a smile. The veteran on the left is a portrait from memory of a guy I met at Bethesda Naval Hospital. He told me he came into the Army with two legs, but he was leaving with five. His only complaint was that I was not a football cheerleader, but when I offered to put on an outfit and get some pom-poms, he declined for some reason.
When I started this series I committed to a full year of weekly updates. Now I'll take a little break to market the site and work on a collection to sell to benefit USO and other veteran services like Operation Homefront. I'll still post cartoons from time to time, especially if someone sends me a suggestion (HINT HINT.)
NOTE: If you tried to email info@MILWIT.COM and didn't get through, it was because of an undiscovered error that just got fixed. Please email with your suggestions, jokes and requests - we want to hear from you!
